There are three genetic 'hotspots' linked to one of the most common cancers in the world, according to a study done by the Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center.
The center's resarchers say the new findings could help in identifying new targets for treating the disease.
Colorectal cancer rates are especially high in the United States.
